HI everyone: The Holidays are upon us and soon a new year.
The Holidays have always been special for me starting when I was a kid. As I grew to be a tennis player I spent most of the year away on tour. When Thanksgiving came along we would be in Florida outside of Tampa staying in condos at a resort. Lee Jackson who’m I named “Mama Lee” & was our Tour Referee would cook her sumptuous Turkey with all the trimmings and invite her favorite players to a beautiful Thanksgiving Dinner. It was home for all of us while away!

Although I am long time removed from my playing and traveling days…I remember these Thankgivings as if they were yesterday and how much we enjoyed sharing these times with our friends and family. We were all a traveling family of friends! I hope your THANKSGIVING is as memorable as mine was!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!😊

THE ANNALEE THURSTON AWARD RECEPTION & DINNER

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

I am looking for a Title Sponsor for the Annalee Thurston Award Reception & Dinner. There are various levels of sponsorship available and hope that you will be able to participate and join us for a wonderful cause on Satuday, March 8, 2025. I appreciate everyone’s past and future support of this important fundraiser for The Love & Love Tennis Foundation. Without your donations it would not be possible to provide the free tennis clinics, events and assistance we have provided to numerous kids and programs throughout the Coachella Valley. I want to thank those who have supported us with donations and especially my volunteers who help with all the kids tennis clinics and other events. Your time is greatly appreciated.

Attached is the Save-the -Date Card for Saturday March 8, 2025 and Registration & Sponsorship Information.

We will be honoring Former # 1 World Champion & Tennis Channel Analyst TRACY AUSTIN. A Special Presentation by WTA will also be made to CONNIE SPOONER this year’s recipient of the WTA “CHAMPION’S FOR CHANGE” AWARD. Connie was the first WTA Trainer in 1974 and a driving force to improve knowledge and treatment of player’s injuries.

SIMON FRARY: “IT’S MY PASSION”

Simon is 18 years old an attending COD (College of the Desert) on line and spends most of his days playing tennis and training. He is taking a gap year to play D1 tennis next fall.

Simon is from Palm Desert, his mother is Swedish and his dad is Mexican so he speaks both languages fluently. His start in tennis was at age 14 and prior to that he was an elite junior soccer player preparing to enter a soccer academy in L.A. He decided to try tennis and loved it enough to give up his future in soccer. I have worked with Simon on and off for the past 4 years and can vouch for his passion and strong work ethics. He’s learned much in his short time of playing and we are still working on his game to get him to where his ranking will allow him to get into most tournaments.

Being a Pro is a very tough road and I want to give him every chance he can to reach his dream of becoming a Pro player on the Men’s ATP Tour.

Simon is 6’6″ and resembles Janik Sinner in heigth, look and is also a Redhead! He aspires to be like Sinner and hits a massive ball. He has been playing UTR & USTA Tournaments throughout SoCal and has a 9 UTR Ranking and is in the top 50 in SoCal. He graduated from Palm Desert High School as the
# 1 player in the Coachella Valley.

Simon is establishing his “Go Fund Me” Page to help raise money for his travels to South America, specifically Argentina where he will attend a tennis academy in Buenos Aires and play tournaments throughout South America. The Love & Love Tennis Foundation will help him as well and appreciates any contributions you can make to help Simon reach his goal of playing on tour!

I will put all the information on how to donate on my LLTF website.

Thank You All and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We will check in with you for the Christmas Holidays.

xoxo
