Conchita Martínez is a former Spanish professional tennis player, best known for becoming the first Spanish woman to win the Wimbledon singles title in 1994. During her career, she reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 2 and won 33 singles and 13 doubles titles. After retiring, she became a successful coach, notably leading Garbiñe Muguruza to the 2017 Wimbledon title and serving as the captain for Spain’s Fed Cup and Davis Cup teams.
Playing Career
