If you live in the desert you’ve noticed that we’ve gotten hot and it means that summer and the heat are right around the corner. March was cold, windy with some rain that fell during BNP. The weather was not the best for playing or watching BNP but none-the-less it produced some good tennis and young winners with Andreeva & Draper.
Now we are in Coachella Fest mode with kids and adults from all over descending on us. We see them everywhere we go….at Walmart, Costco & grocery stores loading up for the weekend. We can even hear the music pulsating it’s way from the Polo Fields to the surrounding neighborhoods. I know many who live here feel it is an intrusion but others feel that this is what Palm Springs and the desert is all about….tennis, golf, music and also the well being of people who just like to enjoy the weather and the beauty of the desert!
THE LOVE & LOVE TENNIS FOUNDATION ANNALEE THURSTON FUNDRAISER
Thanks to all of you we raised about $115,000 in all and Tory & I want to thank everyone for their donations and support of the event. We had some very nice items that were donated for the Live & Silent Auction and we thank you for all of the nice things we had. It inspires us to continue reaching out to kids around the valley and to bring tennis into their lives. If we can influence and change one kid for the better it is worth the work and time!!
INDIAN RIDGE C.C. FREE APRIL 12, TENNIS CLINIC:
We just completed our first free kids tennis clinic with Tennis Pro Rhenn Ramirez and his staff at Indian Ridge CC. We had about 50 kids and although it was hot we hit a lot of tennis balls and took lots of waterbreaks! In the end we had prizes for the kids to have target practice and win the prize they hit. We want to thank Rhenn & his staff and Indian Ridge C.C. for opening their gates and letting these kids enjoy a beautiful morning of tennis with us.

LA QUINTA FRITZ BURNS PARK KIDS TENNIS FREE TENNIS CLINICS: (APRIL, MAY, JUNE, 2025) July to be confirmed.
Love & Love Tennis Foundation is conducting free kids clinics every Saturday from 9:00am – 10:15am. Just come out and register or email me at: Sportswomn@aol.com.
The clinics are for kids ages 6 to 15 years old and beginners. If you are advanced we will check you out and find a place for you!!
DESERT HOT SPRINGS & INDIO HIGH SCHOOL KIDS FREE TENNIS CLINICS:
As part of the Love & Love Tennis Foundation Junior Tennis Programs to reach out to kids all over the valley on behalf of the foundation, Coach Allen Stecker will be conducting free kids clinics ages 6-17 years old at Desert Hot Springs High School May 1, 5, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 from 4-5:15pm at the High School Tennis Courts. Everyone welcome so tell your friends if you live in the neighborhood!
Rackets & Balls will be available on site! Just bring sports shoes or tennis shoes please.

Happy Passover & Easter! I know Passover just started Sunday, April 12 and will conclude next Sunday, April 20. This is the most significa Jewish Holiday and Holy Day for the Jewish community…so enjoy your family & friends! Easter for the Gentiles is the same Sunday Passover ends and is calculated based on both the spring equinox and the moon’s phases. It’s celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon occurs on or after the March equinox!
