Celebrating Coco Gauff’s U.S. Open title

What a great moment for Coco Gauff and American tennis. Winning the US Open at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center on the 50th celebration of equal prize money. Coco won $3.1M but what she won was more than the money which I’m sure she has plenty of. She finally brought to an end the questions and doubts that were piling up and abruptly exploded at Wimbledon when she lost in the first round to another young American Sofia Kenin.

Two months later with a new coaching staff, she full-filled her dream of a Grand Slam and what better place than NY with the largest and loudest fans in the world! I think this is the start of a new journey for her in so many ways. Coco demonstrate leadership qualities and she certainly can lead womens tennis into the future and real equality!
This win is a defining moment for Coco, Americans & women’s tennis.

Coco…we made the right decision 50 years ago and you made the right decision today! The future and success of women’s tennis may fall on your broad shoulders!

Congratulations!
